How we work — before you even ask

How we work.

Engagement modes, the standard flow, deliverables, and contract terms. Everything procurement and legal will ask about, on one page — before you get in touch.

01 — CONTRACT Every engagement is a quasi-mandate agreement — you pay for professional services, with scope fixed in an SOW after the NDA.
02 — BILLING Billing is uniform across all modes: first month standalone, then three-month renewals. Pricing on request.
03 — WHERE Remote-first. For large-scale recovery work, on-site support is also available.

Three depths of engagement.

From a single design engagement to monthly advisory to emergency recovery. We also state what is not included — to settle the scope discussion with procurement before it starts.

MODE 1

Project

IT-DESIGN ENGAGEMENT

Scope
A standalone IT-design engagement (roadmap, new-system design, migration planning)
Duration
Typically multi-year
Team
A senior IT designer plus Data / Dev / Design teams, staffed to the size of the engagement
Mode-specific deliverables
Roadmap document · data model
Not included
Operations outsourcing / 24×7 monitoring

MODE 2

Advisory

DX / IT PROGRAMS

Scope
Monthly involvement in a running DX / IT program, at the design layer
Duration
Typically several months to years
Team
A senior IT designer, with Data and Research teams joining as needed
Mode-specific deliverables
Monthly design-review records · vendor-meeting minutes with decision support
Not included
Development staffing (body-shopping)

MODE 3

Recovery

CODE RED

Post-incident containment, forensics kick-off, and recovery planning
Duration
Typically around one year

Mode-specific deliverables
Damage-assessment report · recovery report (new architecture)

All three are quasi-mandate agreements. Detailed scope is fixed in an SOW after the NDA. Not sure which mode fits? Just ask.

From inquiry to kickoff.

At its fastest, an engagement starts about two weeks from first contact. Exceptions to this flow can be discussed.

  1. Week 0

    Inquiry

Contact form → a short scoping conversation. A 30–60 min online call if useful.

  2. Week 1

    NDA + scope draft

NDA signed. LV3 drafts the scope document.

  3. Week 2

    Kickoff

MSA + SOW signed. Team assigned, work begins.

  4. Week 3–N

    Execution

Weekly reviews plus a monthly executive brief.

  5. Closeout

    Handover

Final documentation delivered. Further support continues under a separate agreement.

Consulting you can hold in your hands.

Whatever the engagement mode, we deliver these two standing reports throughout (the standard set — adjustable per engagement). For mode-specific deliverables, see the three engagement modes above.

REPORT 1

Issues report

Risks and concerns, structured and ranked by priority.

REPORT 2

Progress report

Milestone status, plan versus actuals, and a steering-committee summary.

The procurement & legal checklist.

Our standard contract structure and termination terms — the individual contract takes precedence. RFI / RFP responses supported.

ItemStandard terms (the individual contract takes precedence)
Contract type Quasi-mandate agreement — compensation for professional services (not a fixed-deliverable work contract)
Contract form Standard MSA + SOW. Client legal review welcome. Purchase-order-based contracting also possible
NDA Standard two-party NDA, available before the first conversation. Client-side NDA templates accepted
Pricing & billing Pricing on request. First month standalone, then three-month renewals. Quotes in foreign currencies available
Data handling Post-engagement retention and destruction rules stated in the contract
On-site / remote Remote-first. On-site support available for large-scale recovery work
Insurance On request

Because every engagement differs in size, duration, and staffing, we do not publish a flat price range. A detailed quote follows the NDA.

Questions procurement teams ask us.

Anything not covered here — use the form below.

How fast can an engagement start?
About two weeks at the fastest. Inquiry and scoping (Week 0) → NDA and scope draft (Week 1) → MSA + SOW signed, kickoff (Week 2). See the standard flow above. Cyber incidents skip this flow — use the emergency path.
When is the NDA signed, and whose template?
Before the first conversation, if you like. We have a standard two-party NDA, and client-side templates are accepted.
Whose contract template do you use?
Our standard MSA + SOW as the base, with client legal review welcome. Purchase-order-based contracting is also possible. All engagements are quasi-mandate agreements.
Do you publish indicative pricing?
Pricing is on request. Engagements differ in size, duration, and staffing, so we do not publish a flat range. A detailed quote follows the NDA. Quotes in foreign currencies are available.
Do you subcontract?
Work involving information that could identify you is never subcontracted without your prior consent. Our information-handling standards are summarized in Security & data handling.
Is on-site work possible?
We are remote-first. For large-scale recovery (Code Red) work, on-site support is available.
Can contracts and meetings be in English?
Yes. We work bilingually in Japanese and English, including contracts and negotiations.
Will you answer RFIs / RFPs and security questionnaires?
Yes. Our standard security and data-handling practice is summarized on this page (PDF available).
What are the renewal and termination units?
First month standalone, then three-month renewals. These are standard terms — the individual contract takes precedence.

Tell us where you are.

This form is the front door. We read every message, and suggest a 30–60 min online call where useful. For an active cyber incident, use the emergency path.
